St Joseph’s Parish Hall
St Joseph’s Hall is a busy parish hall with numerous events throughout the year. To ensure that these valuable parish events continue, more help is needed. In particular there is a need for more active committee members who are willing to give a few hours to help when required. There is also a need for new committee members who could help in the running of the Hall. If you have time to spare and wish to be involved, please contact Tommy on 0775 393 6701 or Fr McDevitt on 8224 2092.

SVP Clothing Banks

The blue clothes banks with the SVP logo are now being emptied by SVP staff, connected to the Omagh Thrift Shop, Vincent’s. We appreciate that there are parking difficulties in the Castle Street area for those wishing to leave clothes in the shop and for this reason the banks have been provided for your convenience. Be assured that all donations in these banks will directly benefit the SVP shop and those in need in our community.

St Vincent de Paul
We would like to hear from Senior Citizens within our community who would like to avail of our informal social visits to their homes. Just leave your name, address and telephone number in the Thrift Shop or leave details on our phone line, 028 8224 4488.

St Joseph’s Young Priests Society

The St. Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society is a lay Catholic association in the Church, established in Ireland in 1895. The Patron of the Society is St. Joseph, and the Society’s purpose is to help provide the church with priests for today and tomorrow, and to help its members understand and live out their own vocation to witness to Christ and share their faith.

Today, there are branches in many parishes throughout Ireland. The Society has received encouragement for its work from successive Popes and its constitution has been approved by the Irish Bishops.

Members pray regularly for all students preparing for the priesthood, and are asked to make a modest contribution (50p per month) to the Society, and to invite others to do the same.
