Feast
of the Holy Souls
Tuesday 2nd November is
the Feast of the Holy Souls. Below are the Norms
for Indulgences at the Commemoration of All Souls:
1. From 12 noon on 1st
November until Midnight on 2nd November, all who
have confessed, received Holy Communion, and prayed
for the Pope’s Intentions (one Our Father
and Hail Mary, or any other prayer of one’s
choice) can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting
a church or oratory, and there reciting one Our
Father and the Apostle’s Creed.This indulgence
is applicable only to the souls of the departed.
Confession may be made
at any time within the week preceding or the week
following 1st November.
Holy Communion may be received
on any day from 1st November to 8th November.
2. The faithful who visit
a cemetery and pray for the dead may gain a plenary
indulgence applicable only to the Holy Souls on
the usual conditions once per day from 1st to
8th November. The conditions mentioned above also
apply for this.

First Friday Devotions
Friday is the First Friday of the month. Exposition
of the Blessed Sacrament will be in the Sacred
Heart Church from after 10 am Mass until 7.15
pm.
Visitation of the
Sick
Monsignor Donnelly will visit the sick on Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday of this week. Fr Canning will
visit the sick in the Brookmount Road and Hunter
Crescent areas on Thursday of this week and he
will visit the country areas and Castle Street
on Friday. Fr McDevitt will visit the sick on
Monday and Tuesday of this week.
