Feast of the Holy Souls

 

Tuesday 2nd November is the Feast of the Holy Souls. Below are the Norms for Indulgences at the Commemoration of All Souls:

 

1. From 12 noon on 1st November until Midnight on 2nd November, all who have confessed, received Holy Communion, and prayed for the Pope’s Intentions (one Our Father and Hail Mary, or any other prayer of one’s choice) can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a church or oratory, and there reciting one Our Father and the Apostle’s Creed.This indulgence is applicable only to the souls of the departed.

Confession may be made at any time within the week preceding or the week following 1st November.

 

Holy Communion may be received on any day from 1st November to 8th November.

 

2. The faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the dead may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the Holy Souls on the usual conditions once per day from 1st to 8th November. The conditions mentioned above also apply for this.

Monday 1st November is the Feast of All Saints. Masses will be as follows:

8 am, 10 am, 1 pm and 7.30 pm

St Mary’s, Drumragh
11 am

Tuesday 2nd November is the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed.
Masses will be as follows:

7.30 pm

 


Confessions will be at the usual times on Saturday 30th October,

10.30 am – 12.30 pm & 6.45 pm.

 

 

 

First Friday Devotions
Friday is the First Friday of the month. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be in the Sacred Heart Church from after 10 am Mass until 7.15 pm.

 

 

 

Visitation of the Sick
Monsignor Donnelly will visit the sick on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. Fr Canning will visit the sick in the Brookmount Road and Hunter Crescent areas on Thursday of this week and he will visit the country areas and Castle Street on Friday. Fr McDevitt will visit the sick on Monday and Tuesday of this week.

Omagh St Enda's GAC
Pride of place this week belongs to Omagh Minors who won the Grade 1 Championship last Saturday for the second year in a row and now progress to Ulster where they play Antrim side Lamh Dhearg on 28th November. Also let's not forget the ladies who won the Ulster Championship. Gaelic Start continues every Saturday morning at 10 am in the CBS Sports Hall. Bingo continues every Thursday at 9 pm with over £4,000 in prize money.
