First Friday Devotions
Friday is the First Friday of the month. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be in the Sacred Heart Church from after 10 am Mass until 7.15 pm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Visitation of the Sick


Monsignor Donnelly will visit the sick on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Those normally visited on Thursday will be visited on Monday and those normally visited on Tuesday and Friday will all be visited on Tuesday. Fr Canning will visit the sick in the country and Castle Street areas on Thursday 9th September and in the Brookmount Road and Hunter Crescent areas on Friday 10th September. Fr McDevitt will visit the sick on Monday and Tuesday of this week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Collection for Pakistan Flood Victims
There will be a second collection after Communion at all Masses this weekend for the victims of the recent flooding in Pakistan. This collection is being sent to Trócaire who will use it to directly help those people most affected by the disaster. There are a number of Trócaire Gift Aid envelopes available in the Church porches.

 

 

 

 

 

Walk to Mass Rock


There is a ‘Walk to mass at the Mass Rock' organised for Sunday 5th September 2010. It will take off at All Saints Primary School, Tattysallagh at 2 pm. Mass will be officiated by Fr. Brian O'Kane at 3 pm at the Mass Rock. Donations will be collected in aid of Fr.Brian O'Kane's new chapel in his parish of the Divine Mercy in Ndola, Zambia. Parking will be available at the school and Joe Barrett's garage. Toilets will be available at the school and the Mass Rock. A mini-bus will be available for those unable to walk the distance. Refreshments available at the Mass Rock. Stewards and helpers are reminded there will be a meeting on Friday 3rd Sept at 8pm in Clanabogan Hall, new helpers are welcome.

St Joseph’s Parish Hall
St Joseph’s Hall is a busy parish hall with numerous events throughout the year. To ensure that these valuable parish events continue, more help is needed. In particular there is a need for more active committee members who are willing to give a few hours to help when required. There is also a need for new committee members who could help in the running of the Hall. Society of Vincent de Paul
English Language Class recommences on Wednesday 15th September at 9.30 am in the Pastoral Centre, Brook Street, Omagh. The class lasts for two hours and all are welcome to this free class. All abilities are catered for in small groups.

 

 

 

 

 


St Joseph’s Bowling Club
St Joseph’s Bowling Club is now in its 20th year. In the past year the club has been able to secure four new mats and some accessories. There are also new sets of bowls, of various sizes, some to suit children. The committee of the club is sending out an open invitation to any parishioner to come and try their hand at the sport. Beginners are welcome. One-to-one tuition is available free of charge for the first two weeks, starting Thursday 2nd September.

Omagh St Enda's GAC
A Super Salubrious Sunday of Gaelic football this Sunday 29th with both St Enda's men and ladies playing championship football in an exciting day for the town and parish. First up is the young ladies team who play Aghayaran at 3 pm in Killyclogher in the championship final. Then it's on to Pomeroy for a 7 pm throw-in where the St Enda's senior men take on Ardboe in the quarter final of the championship (with a superabundance of All-Ireland winners playing for both sides). We would appeal to everyone to make a day of it and come out in force to support both teams. Bingo with £4,000 in prize money continues at Healy Park every Thursday at 9 pm.
